美洲米勒(1924年) describes her life as “a beautiful anomaly,” whereby God saved her by redirecting her steps to Lancaster Bible College.
In the memorable year of 2020, having recently graduated from Eastern York High School in Wrightsville, Pa., Miller didn’t know what to do with her life. She accepted Christ when she was 17, and she longed to learn more about her Savior and also wanted an education that enabled her to do just that. She applied and enrolled in another university, but there, her faith almost toppled.
“I almost denounced Christ completely, as I was being taught that the Bible was erroneous and that Scripture was completely to my own interpretation,米勒说. “The joy and yearning I once had for Jesus were almost shredded entirely.”
Even so, as a brand-new Christian in the midst of all the confusion, she knew one thing for certain. “I wanted to pursue God,米勒说。. “I wanted to learn more about Him, build my relationship with Him and serve Him for His glory for the rest of my life.”
It was now a moment between the sword and the wall for Miller. “I had the choice to give up Christianity and do whatever I wanted, or drop everything I was doing and put Christ first,”她说。.
然后, she did “what any reasonable person would do … I dropped everything I was doing and decided to follow Christ,米勒说。. Having never laid eyes on the Lancaster Bible College campus, she nervously applied to LBC, praying that God would rescue her from her current situation—and He did.
转到LBC后, Miller became a 工商管理 major, earned her real estate license at the 年龄 of 20 and has already sold her first home. She shows houses between classes and enjoys working with people who are finding their next residence. And while she loves this st年龄 of life and her current role in real estate, Miller embraces a beautiful mindset that should inspire us all.
“Whether I’m in real estate for 20 years or stocking shelves at Walmart, I know I will do it for the glory of God,”她说。. “Every career path is temporary as we continue to look forward to eternity in Heaven with Christ.”
Regardless of where her career takes her, Miller will remember LBC as the place where her faith was revived. “Coming to LBC was a huge leap of faith,”她说。. “The trust I had for God in those moments has developed my sense of trust and security in Christ, which I will never forget. I’m beyond blessed to be at LBC and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. 我很感激LBC选择了我.”
